  1. Objectives
    To establish a small secretariat at ECA for the coordination and facilitation of the United Nations System-Wide Special Initiative in Africa.

    • Framework for country level implementation and SIA: A prospective analysis
    • Strategy to foster cooperation with other initiatives
  3. Expected outcomes / impact
    • SIA Newsletter
    • SIA related workshops and for a
    • SIA Website
    • Pro-active role of the SIA in priorities such as food security, trade, debt and poverty reduction
  4. Features in line with the Agenda for Action
    This programme is designed to improve the overall socio-economic development in Africa and it combine South South Cooperation, donor coordination, African governments and Civil Society Organization.
