- Objectives
Providing investment information through the Internet to promote investment from Asia to Africa - Activities / contents
- Establishment of Asia-Africa Investment Information Service Center (AAIIC) within Sibexlink of SITTDEC (South Investment, Trade and Technology Data Exchange Center) in Malaysia
- Assistance for maitenance and management of AAIIC by the Japanese government in cooperation with UNIDO, UNDP, UNCTAD, etc.
- Technical cooperation to create attractive investment environment
- Training experts in investment promotion (including investment consultation)
- Holding workshop to explain the AAIIC activities
- Utilizing experiences of the Zimbabwe Investment Center
- Expected outcomes / impacts
- Activation of direct investment from Asia to Africa
- Activation of intra-African and south-south trade
- Features in line with the Agenda for Action
- Strengthening of quality and quantity of African investment information in Sibexlink, Malaysia, will contribute to South-South (Asia-Africa) cooperation and private sector development.
