II.Project / program description

  1. Objectives
    To promote trade and investment between Asia and Africa
  2. Activities / contents
    Business people and policy makers from the two regions get together in a capital in Asia to have a frank exchange of views on how to promote trade and investment between Asia and Africa by providing conducive information to potential business opportunities,in particular, from African participants. Trade Fair will be also organized.
  3. Expected outcomes / impacts
    To promote exchanges among business people including small and medium sized enterprises between the two regions and generate investment and business opportunities
    To declare the year 2000 as the Year of SMEs.
  4. Features in line with the Agenda for Action
    As emphasized in the Agenda for Action , the promotion of foreign investments and trade is a primary objective in the development of private sector
