II. Project / program description

  1. Objectives
    To ensure that national, sub-regional and regional institutions systematically incorporate, (take into consideration) women's interests and perspectives in the formulation of their policies and programmes.
  2. Activities / contents
    • One International Conference on African Women and Economic Development:
      "Investing in our Future"
    • East and Southern Africa Sub-Regional Meeting to monitor, review and appraise the implementation of the National Plan of Action
    • Strategy and Plan of Action
    • African Women Report
    • African Trade Fair and Investment Forum
    • Publication on Improving Women's Access to social services
  3. Expected outcomes / impacts
    • International Conference on African Women: "Investing in our Future"
  4. Features in line with the Agenda for Action
    This project will contribute to the promotion of women's roles in the development, thus to enhance South South Cooperation.
