II. Project / program description

  1. Objectives
    To provide an opportunity to improve technical skills in laboratory medicine and research capabilities in the field of infectious diseases.
  2. Activities / contents Provide: -
    Recent information on natural history and pathophysiology of infectious diseases, experience in running and development of medical laboratory for diagnosis of infectious diseases, standard techniques in evaluating diagnostic tests and decision analysis, information on molecular biology relevant to disease diagnosis.
  3. Expected outcomes / impacts:
    To promote human capacity building for Africa in the area of combating viral and infectious diseases.
  4. Features in line with the Agenda for Action:
    Provide better health care techniques, support south - south cooperation and social development in Africa.
