II. Project Description

Objectives: Knowledge and skill upgrading in the field of management of programs of integrated maternal and infant health.

Activities : Training in basic health.
Number of participants: 15. Period (per week) : 8.

Expected Results : Identification of forms of prevention; efficiency improvements of integrated health centers' services; improvements in sanitary coverage.

Reference : The TTCA (the Tunisian Technical Cooperation Agency) has organized two training sessions in this field : One has been organized during the year 1993 for a duration of nine months with executive participants from Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso. The second session has been organized during the year 1994 for a period of three months with 14 African executive participants from Mali, Niger, Mauritania, Cape Verde, Guinea and Angola.

Link with the Agenda : This exercise constitutes a concrete action in support of one of the targeted Agenda items.
