- Objectives
To further the democratic and social development of Uganda by supporting the decentralisation of the political and administrative systems. - Activities / contents
The project aims at supporting the Decentralisation Secretariat, strengthening the donor co-ordination unit of the Ministry of Local Government, enhancing the supervision capacity of the Ministry, establishing a Local Development Fund, supporting the functioning of the Local Government Finance Commission, strengthening the institution of the Auditor General, supporting the ULAA and the UAAU, and sentizisation and training of all levels of local governments - Expected outcomes / impacts
At the end of the project the functioning of Ministry of Local Government, the Auditor General, the ULAA, and UAAU will be strengthened and the administrative capacity and political power of the districts will be improved. Local initiatives to further the social development of four selected districts will be carried out through financial support of the Local Development Fund. - Features in line with the Agenda for Action
The project will further the democratic development of Uganda by supporting the decentralisation of the political and administrative systems.
