II. Project / program description

  1. Objectives
    To support the democratic process in Mozamique through the strengthening of the legal system.
  2. Activities / contents
    The project will have three main components: support to the physical infrastructure of the court system; to human resources and institutional capacity; and to legal reform. Court facilities and judges' residences in 20 districts will be rehabilitated, district judges will be trained, and salaries will be disbursed to members of the Commission on legal reform as well as to the Secretariat of the Commission.
