II. Project Description

Objectives : (a) Describe the analytical tools and the instruments, which allow for environmental management. (b) Advance sharing of experience in the field of environmental management.

Activities : Training in environmental management.
Number of participants: 10. Period (per week) : 2.

Expected Results : Strengthen abilities to analyze environmental needs, and abilities to integrate environmental considerations into the general development process.

Reference : The TTCA (the Tunisian Technical Cooperation Agency) has, in collaboration with the Ministry of International Affairs in Quebec, organized during two weeks in December 1993 an international seminar about environmental evaluation with participation of executives from Mauritania, Lebanon, Benin, and Algeria.

Link with the Agenda : This exercise constitutes a concrete action in support of one of the targeted Agenda items.
