II. Project / program description

  1. Objectives
    Durable improvement of housing conditions and housing environment of poor people living in the Nairobi slum area Mathare 4A in order to contribute to a sustainable improvement of their living conditions.
  2. Activities / contents
    Construction of basic infrastructure, shelter improvement and construction/extension of communal facilities in the slum area Mathare 4A.
  3. Expected outcomes / impacts
    Improved living conditions of the people living in the slum area.
  4. Features in line with the Agenda for Action
    It is hoped that the project may encourage other donors to assist the Government in improving the living condition in other slum areas of Nairobi.
