- Objectives
The project aims at improving short-term food security through the creation of employment opportunities, improving accessibility through rehabilitation of rural roads and foot paths, increasing productivity by improving the small holder resource based through agroforestry, water harvesting infrastructures and micro-irrigation facilities, and strengthening emergency and disaster preparedness. - Activities / contents
- Mitigate food insecurity through food assistance
- Use the vulnerability analysis and mapping system as a tool for project targeting.
- Improve women participation within the different project activities.
- Expected outcomes / impacts
- A total of 35,000 beneficiaries participate in Food for Work (FFW) activities.
- Women will comprise 70% of the target group and will be the main long-term beneficiaries of the assets created.
- Features in line with the Agenda for Action
This project is in line with the agenda for action, as it covers Agricultural/Public Work.
