II. Project / program description

  1. Objectives
    (i) To enhance the skills, knowledge and attitude of apprentice-farmers and officials participating in the programme to boost the productivity of rice, vegetables and secondary crops.
    (ii)To exchange ideas and information on agricultural development between apprenticeship-farmers and Indonesian farmers.
    (iii) To strengthen the cooperation among apprenticeship-farmers and Indonesian farmers.

    1. A need identification survey in the participating countries
    2. An apprenticeship programme in Indonesia
    3. Technical Assistance for African farmers in the field of Food Crop Production
  3. Expected outcomes / impacts
    To strengthen cooperation between the non-aligned countries (South-South) in the field of Supply of Food Stuff and Agriculture
  4. Features in line with the Agenda for Action
    To develop creativity, analytical capacity, self reliance and entrepreneurship of both of apprenticeship-farmers and Indonesian farmers
