Current Status of Implementation 2009

- Project to strengthen the referral system for Somali and Ethiopian Refugees Phase II(AMDA)* ( Feb 2010)

- On-going - Referral system has improved such as the revision of referral guideline and the utilization of patients data for following up the treatment condition. As a result, 2,406 refugees were successfully referred between clinic in the refugee camp and secondary / tertiary hospital in 2009. As a result, refugees from Somalia, Ethiopia, and Eritrea can receive better medical services.
*This project, which has an aim to maintain and improve referral service from clinic in the refugee camp to secondary and tertiary hospital, has been implemented as part of the joint program with UNHCR and WFP (total budget: US$0.8 million approx.) to provide an appropriate medical support to refugees from Somalia, Ethiopia, and Eritrea in Djibouti.
