Yokohama Action Plan: [1]Support the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (GFATM).
[2]Strengthen central government institutions for HIV/AIDS and prioritize prevention of new infections.
[3]Support efforts to achieve the target of reducing by 50 % TB prevalence and mortality rates by 2015 relative to 1990 levels, including through prevention, testing, and treatment activities under Direct Observation Treatment, Short-course (DOTS).
[4]Promote effective implementation of anti-malaria activities by combining preventive measures including distribution of long lasting insecticide-treated bed nets, and awareness raising and provision of nursing care.

Project Title: Project of Community DOTS against Tubercurosis/HIV by Participatory Approach in Zambia

Status: TB diagnosis services were done at the center set up by the project as follows;
- received TB suspects/ TB diagnosis: 307/711, 43.2％
- diagnosed by AFB/ TB diasnosis: 120/307, 39.1％
- diagnosed by culture/ TB diagnosis: 25/307, 8.1％
- diagnosed by Chest X-ray/TB diagnosis: 162/ 307, 52.8％
HIV+/ HIV rapid test: 151/378, 39.9％

Budget: PY 112,023,733 (US$1,033,450) in total (incl. US$819,110 of MOFA’s Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO’s Projects)
