Message by H.E. Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, at the International Conference “Pathways to Peace: 2nd International Conference on Returning Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians, and Prisoners of War”
On September 28, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan issued the written message for the International Conference “Pathways to Peace: 2nd International Conference on Returning Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians, and Prisoners of War”, held in Toronto, Canada, organized by the Governments of Canada, Ukraine and Norway. The message was delivered at the conference by Mr. NAKAGOME Masashi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Canada.
The written message by Foreign Minister MOTEGI states that the return of all Ukrainians, including children who have been taken by Russia, is a critical issue, and expresses the position that Japan will continue diplomatic efforts toward the return of all Ukrainian citizens while Japan’s position of standing with Ukraine remains unwavering.
