Emergency Grant to Strengthen Epidemic Prevention and Other Measures in Response to the Ebola Virus Disease Outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo

On September 1, the Government of Japan has decided to provide an Emergency Grant of USD 5 million to support strengthening epidemic prevention and other measures in response to the Ebola Bundibugyo virus disease outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
With this Emergency Grant, Japan will deliver humanitarian assistance in sectors such as epidemic prevention and health. This assistance will be implemented in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the World Food Programme (WFP).
