Courtesy Call on Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs ONISHI by H.E. Mr. Alnaas, Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Libya in Japan

On August 27, from 5:00 pm for approximately 30 minutes, Mr. ONISHI Yohei, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call by Mr. Ahmed S. A. ALNAAS, Chargé d'Affaires ad interim, Embassy of the State of Libya in Japan.

  1. At the outset, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI stated that through his visit to Libya this month, he felt there is great potential for bilateral relations. He also conveyed that during his subsequent visit to Egypt, he informed local Japanese companies of Libya’s economic potential. Furthermore, he expressed his intention to strengthen trilateral cooperation among Japan, Libya, and Egypt, utilizing opportunities such as the third Japan-Libya Economic Forum scheduled to be held in Libya next year.
  2. In response, Chargé d'Affaires Alnaas expressed his gratitude for Parliamentary Vice-Minister Onishi’s visit to Libya and stated his hope to further advance cooperation across a wide range of fields.
  3. Both sides concurred to further develop bilateral relations toward the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Libya next year.
