Welcome Reception of the Fourth Tokyo International Law Seminar

On August 24, a welcome reception for the Fourth Tokyo International Law Seminar was held, and Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered opening remarks.
- The reception was attended by distinguished guests including H.E. Dr. Kamalinne Pinitpuvadol, Secretary-General of Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization, Mr. SHIMIZU Satoshi, Vice President of Japan Federation of Bar Associations, Mr. TSUTSUMI Yoshiyuki, Deputy Director-General of the Ministerial Secretariat of the Ministry of Justice, as well as participants of the Seminar from Asia and Africa, lecturers, researchers of international law, representatives of law firms, and ambassadors to Japan. Prof. Tshilidzi MARWALA, Rector of the United Nations University, kindly provided a video message on this occasion.
- State Minister KUNIMITSU stated that the Seminar has established itself as an important platform where practitioners and researchers of international law from Asia and Africa meet to learn and engage with one another. She emphasized that, as international order faces mounting challenges, professionals in international law, regardless of whether they are in government, academia, or private practice, must work hand in hand to firmly defend the international order based on the rule of law.
