Video Message by Foreign Minister MOTEGI for the Fourth Tokyo International Law Seminar
On August 24, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered a video message at the opening session of the Fourth Tokyo International Law Seminar organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
Minister MOTEGI emphasized the importance of a free and open international order based on the rule of law, as the world is facing profound structural changes driven by the shifting balance of power and the intensifying conflicts and confrontations.
Minister MOTEGI also stated that the Seminar was launched as a platform where next-generation practitioners of international law from Asia and Africa deepen their knowledge together, and encouraged all participants to foster common knowledge and awareness among international lawyers from various countries, and to forge close ties with one another.
