Africa Youth Program: Visit of African High School Students to Japan (Second Phase) and Dispatch of Japanese University Students to Africa

- Visit of African High School Students to Japan
From August 23 to September 5, as a part of the "Africa Youth Program," an exchange program to promote understanding between Japan and Africa, 123 high school students and 10 accompanying supervisors from five African countries (Egypt, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Senegal, and Zambia) will visit Japan as the second phase.
During their stay in Tokyo, the delegation will visit companies, have exchanges with university students, and pay courtesy calls to their respective embassies in Tokyo. In addition, they will split into groups and visit Fukushima Prefecture, Tochigi Prefecture, Nara Prefecture, Shimane Prefecture, and Okinawa Prefecture, where they will participate in exchange meetings with high school students, stay with host families, and visit relevant companies. - Dispatch of Japanese University Students to Africa
From late August to late September, as a part of the same "Africa Youth Program," 72 Japanese university students will visit Egypt, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Zambia for approximately 2 weeks.

During their stay in each country in Africa, they will participate in exchange meetings with local students, visit the Japanese Embassy in each country, stay with host families, and participate in site visits, etc.
