On August 6, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony was held in the Peace Memorial Park with the participation of bereaved family members and citizens. Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the ceremony and expressed her prayers for the repose of the souls of the victims.

After the ceremony, State Minister KUNIMITSU visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Following this, she attended a meeting to listen to requests from representatives of atomic bomb survivors and exchanged views with them. State Minister KUNIMITSU also visited “Kandayama Yasuragien,” a nursing home for atomic bomb survivors.
