Courtesy Call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU by Dr. Emmanuelle Soubeyran, Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH)

On April 21, commencing at 4:20 p.m., for approximately 30 minutes, Dr. KUNIMITSU Ayano, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, received a courtesy call from Dr. Emmanuelle Soubeyran, Director General of the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH).
- State Minister KUNIMITSU welcomed the visit by Dr. Soubeyran to Japan and, mentioning her recent participation in the One Health Summit, stated that the role played by the WOAH is important in the field of global health.
- State Minister KUNIMITSU also expressed her expectations that the relationship between Japan and the WOAH would be further strengthend through the dispatch of JPOs and the activities of the WOAH Regional Representation for Asia and the Pacific.
- In response, Director General Soubeyran expressed her gratitude for this courtesy call and for Japan’s support, and stated her intention to continue cooperating with Japan.
