On January 28, commencing at 10:15 a.m. for approximately 45 minutes, Mr. FUNAKOSHI Takehiro, Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from Mr. Elbridge Colby, Under Secretary of War for Policy of the U.S.
Both sides exchanged views on the regional security environment as well as bilateral security and defense cooperation. Moreover, they concurred on the critical role both countries play to reinforce the Japan-U.S. Alliance capabilities to deter and respond.
