Extension of the Agreement between Japan and the US on Cooperation in Research and Development in Science and Technology

On January 16, in Tokyo, “Protocol Extending the Agreement between the Government of Japan and the Government of the United States of America on Cooperation in Research and Development in Science and Technology” was signed by Mr. ONISHI Yohei, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Mr. Aaron D. SNIPE, Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the United States in Japan.

By the signing of this Protocol, the effective period of the Agreement, which was to expire on January 19, has been extended for nine months from January 20.
