On December 10, Mr. ONISHI Yohei, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, hosted a reception for the Next Generation Forum for Gender Equality at the United Nations University. This reception was held to commemorate both the Next Generation Forum for Gender Equality, which took place on the afternoon of the same day, and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the UN Women Japan Liaison Office.
- In his opening remarks, Parliamentary Vice-Minister ONISHI referred to the vibrant discussions at the Next Generation Forum for Gender Equality, including fresh perspectives shared by young speakers and the audience. He also expressed his hope that participants would leverage the insights gained today to further promote research and discussions in the gender field, and to play active roles in various sectors.
- The reception was attended by panelists from the Forum and individuals from various fields who are dedicated to promoting gender equality. Interaction and networking took place throughout in a friendly atmosphere.
