State Minister for Foreign Affairs HORII’s Attendance at the Inaugural Ceremony of the Regular Direct Flight to Palau (Results)

On October 29, Mr. HORII Iwao, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, attended the Inaugural Ceremony of the regular direct flight between Narita and Palau in Narita International Airport. The overview is as follows:
- State Minister HORII delivered his remarks on behalf of the Government of Japan. He welcomed the commencement of our long awaited regular direct flight to Palau and expressed his hope that many Japanese tourists would be attracted to visit the country, which is renowned for its beautiful ocean, abundant nature, and world-class diving sites. He further hoped that this will contribute to the development of Palau’s tourism industry.
- H.E. Mr. Surangel S. WHIPPS, Jr., accompanied by Hon. Gustav AITARO, attended the ceremony Minister of State who were visiting Japan attended the ceremony on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Palau.
- During the Ceremony, State Minister HORII exchanged views with President Whipps on how to strengthen the bilateral relations between Japan and Palau including the tourism promotion.
