Visit of H.E. Mr. Surangel S. WHIPPS, Jr., President of the Republic of Palau

H.E. Mr. Surangel S. WHIPPS, Jr., President of the Republic of Palau will visit Japan from October 26 to 29, 2025.

President Whipps is scheduled to visit Japan for “Visit Palau Promotion” on the occasion of the commencement of regular direct flights between Narita and Palau starting on October 29.
On October 24, Mr. MOTEGI Toshimitsu, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, will hold a Foreign Ministers’ Meeting with Hon. Gustav AITARO, Minister of State, Republic of Palau, who will visit Japan from October 23 as a minister accompanying President Whipps.
Japan and Palau have confirmed their intention to further strengthen bilateral relations in 2024, which marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The Government of Japan hopes that this visit will further strengthen the friendly relations between Japan and the Republic of Palau.
