Special exhibition on "Japan's orientation as a peace-loving nation"
This year marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and the founding of the United Nations (UN). To commemorate this, the Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan will be hosting a special exhibition titled "Japan's orientation as a peace-loving nation" from Friday, October 31, 2025, to Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Postwar Japan accepted the San Francisco Peace Treaty and formally took its first step towards rejoining the international community. This exhibition reflects on Japan's journey as a peaceful nation and her diplomatic efforts, through the historical materials in our collection. The exhibition is expected to deepen understanding of Japan's contributions to the international community.
