Foreign Minister Iwaya attends a meeting to hear requests from representatives of atomic bomb survivors

On August 6th, the Hiroshima Peace memorial ceremony in the peace memorial park was held with the participation of bereaved family members and citizens. Foreign Minister Iwaya attended the ceremony and expressed his prayers for the repose of the souls of the victims.

After the ceremony, Foreign Minister Iwaya visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. Afterwards, he attended a meeting to listen to requests from representatives of atomic bomb survivors and to exchange views with them. Minister Iwaya also visited a nursing home for atomic bomb survivors “Yano Orizuruen.”
