Courtesy Call on Foreign Minister Iwaya by Dr. Merit E. Janow, Chairperson of the Japan Society

On July 30, commencing at 16:45 p.m. for approximately 15 minutes, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs, received a courtesy call from Dr. Merit E. Janow, Chairperson of the Japan Society, who was visiting Japan. The overview is as follows.
- Minister Iwaya referred to his visit to the Japan Society headquarters in New York in April of this year, and expressed his hope that the Japan Society would continue to play an active role as a bridge between Japan and the United States.
- Minister Iwaya and Dr. Janou exchanged the views on the Japan-U.S. relations as well as how to boost communications about Japan in the United States.
