Re-appointment of Mr. Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD for his Second Term

On July 25 (local time), the Organization for Economic Co-Operation and Development (OECD) held its Council meeting at its headquarters and adopted by consensus the resolution to re-appoint Mr. Cormann as the Secretary-General of the OECD for his second term. Japan welcomes the reappointment of Mr. Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the OECD for his Second Term.
  2. Japan highly appreciates Secretary-General Cormann’s enlightened leadership and outstanding contributions, including the OECD’s increased engagement in the Indo-Pacific region. In cooperation with Secretary-General Cormann, Japan will further strengthen and develop cooperation with the OECD that is leading the discussion of the international community with its high-quality data and analysis.
