Japan-Thailand Exchange of Knowledge and Experience on Countering Disinformation and Misinformation
On May 12, Mr. Toshihiro KITAMURA, Press Secretary / Director-General for Press and Public Diplomacy, together with Mr. Nikorndej Balankura, Director-General, Department of Information / Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand, held Japan-Thailand Exchange of Knowledge and Experience on Countering Disinformation and Misinformation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Both Japan and Thailand shared their efforts in this field and exchanged views on potential future cooperation.
As international information warfare in the cognitive domain occurs amid the growing geopolitical competition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan is promoting information exchange and cooperation with countries and regions that share concerns about foreign information manipulation, including the spread of disinformation.
