Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs IKUINA Akiko attended the Presentation Ceremony for “the Japan Foundation Prizes for Global Citizenship 2024”



On February 19, Ms. IKUINA Akiko, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs attended the presentation ceremony for “the Japan Foundation Prizes for Global Citizenship 2024 held in Tokyo in the presence of Her Imperial Highness Princess Takamado.
Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ikuina made opening remarks, in which she congratulated the three recipients of the prizes: Higashi Kujo Madan Executive Committee (Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture), Saga International Exchange Association (Saga City, Saga Prefecture), and MIYAZAKI C-DANCE CENTER (Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture). In her congratulatory remarks, she expressed her respect for the invaluable efforts and extraordinary enthusiasm of these organizations, which have helped to realize a truly symbiotic society by supporting people-to-people exchanges that transcend national and cultural differences.
Parliamentary Vice-Minister Ikuina also stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue its efforts to promote the coexistence of diverse cultures and international cultural exchange by working hand in hand with those who are committed to the realization of a symbiotic society.
