  1. H.E. Mr. Daniel Francisco Chapo was inaugurated as the President of the Republic of Mozambique at the Presidential Inauguration Ceremony held on January 15, 2025.
  2. Japan hopes that the new Mozambique government will ensure a stable security situation as soon as possible and further promote democratic politics by promoting dialogue among all stakeholders.
  3. Japan intends to continue cooperation with Mozambique for the prosperity of the people of both countries, based on Japan’s long-standing friendship with Mozambique.
