Regional Promotion Seminar FY 2024

On January 20, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will host the Regional Promotion Seminar FY 2024 jointly with the local governments of Sakai City (Osaka Prefecture), Okinawa Prefecture, Nikko City (Tochigi Prefecture) and Kamikatsu Town (Tokushima Prefecture) in Tokyo.
- The Regional Promotion Seminar has been held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly with local governments every year since FY2008 to provide information on the characteristics and policies of each local government to the diplomatic corps in Japan and others.
- In this year's seminar to be held jointly with the above-mentioned local governments, each local government will make a presentation to the diplomatic corps and others on its local industry, policies, tourism, local products, among others. After the presentation, the local government will introduce the various attractions of the region through booth displays and other events.
- It is expected that the seminar will provide an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of the various attractions of each region and also promote exchanges between participants and the local governments.
