Video message by Mr.MIYAJI Takuma, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan for the “SDGs National Forum 2024 in Okinawa”

On December 21, Mr.MIYAJI Takuma, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered a video message at the opening ceremony of the “SDGs National Forum 2024 in Okinawa” held in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture. The overview of the message is as follows:
- At the outset, State Minister Miyaji stated that, since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda, the Government of Japan has been promoting the SDGs both domestically and internationally in collaboration with the private sector, and the principles of the SDGs are becoming a driving force for the development and prosperity of Japan. He also touched upon Okinawa Prefecture's contributions towards achieving the SDGs, expressing his hope that the "SDGs National Forum" will advance the collaboration among various stakeholders, including local authorities across the country, and promote efforts towards achieving the SDGs.
- Furthermore, he expressed the government's commitment to strengthening and accelerating all-Japan efforts towards achieving the SDGs by collaborating with stakeholders from various fields.
