Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs IKUINA Akiko Attended the NIHONGO Partners Reception 2024 hosted by the Japan Foundation



On November 22, the NIHONGO Partners Reception 2024 hosted by the Japan Foundation was held at the Hotel Grand Hill Ichigaya, and Ms. IKUINA Akiko, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the ceremony.
At the Reception, Parliamentary Vice-Minister IKUINA stated that more than 3,000 NIHONGO Partners have been dispatched under the “WA Project -Toward Interactive Asia through Fusion and Harmony-” to date representing Japan's cultural diplomacy and people-to-people exchange in Asian countries and regions including ASEAN and she praised their activities. She also addressed that the NIHONGO Partners have unique roles to play, making use of their experience to introduce Japanese culture and language and to interact with people in different cultures. She expressed her hope that they will continue to support Japan's multicultural society and to play a role as bridge of friendship and exchange with Asia.
In addition to the approximately 90 NIHONGO Partners a large number of people, including members of Parliament, members of the diplomatic corps, NIHONGO Partners dispatch project committee members, academics, and local government officials attended the Reception.
