Japan-Tajikistan Foreign Ministers’ Telephone Meeting

On November 8, commencing at 14:00 p.m. for approximately 20 minutes, Mr. IWAYA Takeshi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, held a telephone meeting with H.E. Mr. Sirojiddin MUHRIDDIN, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan. The overview is as follows.

  1. At the outset, Minister Iwaya mentioned that Tajikistan is a partner for Japan in maintaining and strengthening a free and open international order based on the rule of law, and that he would like to work closely with Minister Muhriddin to deepen the cooperative relationship between the two countries.
  2. Minister Iwaya also mentioned that he hopes to further develop bilateral relations through consultations and corporation in a wide range of areas, including political affairs, economics, and science and technology. In response, Minister Muhriddin expressed his gratitude for the various assistance Japan has provided to date and his desire to continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas such as politics, trade, investment, and economic.
