Energy Infrastructure Assistance for Recovery and Reconstruction in Ukraine (Provision of Autotransformers)

- The Government of Japan handed over two autotransformers to the Government of Ukraine as energy infrastructure assistance for recovery and reconstruction in Ukraine as part of the “Promotion of Human Security in Ukraine through Responding to the Multidimensional Crisis Caused by the War” programme implemented through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
- The assistance will contribute to the recovery and reinforcement of power supply for the people of Ukraine ahead of the full-fledged winter by supporting energy infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks. The provision is estimated to benefit approximately 500,000 citizens in Kyiv.
- Japan will continue to support and stand by the people of Ukraine who are facing hardship, in collaboration with the international community including the G7 members.
