Video message by State Foreign Minister SUZUKI at the 26th ASCOJA Conference

On 18th - 20th February, the 26th ASCOJA (ASEAN Council of Japan Alumni) Conference was held in a hybrid format in Singapore. Ms. SUZUKI Takako, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, delivered a video message at the Conference.

State Minister Suzuki expressed appreciation for ASCOJA, as a regional association of ASEAN countries, as it plays a significant role in fostering friendship, trust and knowledge instilled through study experiences in Japan throughout ASEAN. Furthermore, she stated that on the occasion of the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in 2023, the Government of Japan would like to reflect on the history of our relationship of mutual trust based on the “heart-to-heart” understanding as true friends and to further promote exchanges with people of ASEAN countries, including ASCOJA, so that we can elevate ASEAN-Japan relations to a new level.
