Foreign Minister Kishida's Attendance at ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers' Meetings

From Saturday, June 29, to Wednesday, July 3, Mr. Fumio Kishida, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan will visit Brunei Darussalam to attend ASEAN-related Foreign Ministers’ Meetings (the Japan-ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, ASEAN+3 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, Japan-Mekong Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, and the East Asia Summit (EAS) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

In these meetings the foreign ministers will discuss such issues as strengthening Japan-ASEAN cooperation, as they commemorate their 40th anniversary, regional cooperation including cooperation among ASEAN countries, as well as regional and global issues. Foreign Minister Kishida will actively express Japan's views and confirm Japan’s cooperation with the participating countries.

The Foreign Minister will also have meetings with other countries on this opportunity.
