Japan has been greatly shocked and is indignant at a series of terrorist attacks in several cities in Iraq including Baghdad, Kirkuk and Baquba in the province of Diyala since May 15, which caused many deaths and injuries. Japan expresses its deepest condolences for those who have been killed in the attacks and their bereaved families.
