Statement by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the Bombing in Hatay Province of Turkey

- Japan is deeply shocked and outraged by the many deaths and injuries caused by the terrorist attack on May 11, in Reyhanli, Hatay Province of Turkey. Japan firmly condemns terrorism as unjustifiable, committed for whatever purpose. Japan mourns the victims and expresses its condolences to the bereaved families. Japan also offers its sympathy to those wounded in the attack.
- Japan renews its resolve of solidarity with Turkey, as well as continues its diplomatic efforts in cooperation with the international community, in order to eradicate acts of terrorism, which sacrifice the lives of innocent people, and to contribute to the stability of the region.
