Exchange of Documents on the Establishment of Trade and Investment Working Group between Japan and Bahrain

  1. On Wednesday, May 10, 2023 based on the policy discussions between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, documents were exchanged regarding the establishment of a "Japan-Bahrain Trade and Investment Working Group" (Joint Working Group).
  2. The documents were exchanged in the presence of Mr. NAGAOKA Kansuke, Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Yusuf Al Doseri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain and H.E. Mr. Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry & Commerce of the Kingdom of Bahrain who was visiting Japan.
  3. The establishment of this working group demonstrates the commitment of Japan and Bahrain to strengthen bilateral economic relations and deepen their longstanding partnership, and is expected to provide an opportunity for both countries to take advantage of the abundant economic opportunities, expand trade and investment ties, and promote economic growth.
