The 2nd Japan-France Comprehensive Maritime Dialogue
On February 2, the 2nd Japan-France Comprehensive Maritime Dialogue will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. The dialogue is designed to expand various bilateral exchanges and to promote the development of cooperation on global issues in the maritime field. Related authorities and institutions of both Japan and France will be represented at the dialogue and exchange their views on various issues concerning the sea.
The dialogue will be co-chaired by Mr. NAKAMURA Kimitake, Deputy Director-General, European Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. MURATA Shigeki, Director-General, National Ocean Policy Secretariat, Cabinet Office, for Japanese side and by Mr. Olivier Poivre d'Arvor, Ambassador for the Poles and Maritime Issues, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, and Mr. Benoît De Guibert, Deputy Secretary General for the Sea of the French Republic, for French side.
