MIRAI ・ 2019
2nd Group : Politics and National Security
1. From November 27th to December 4th, 39 graduate and undergraduate students from Europe will visit Japan as members of the second group of MIRAI・2019 (Theme: Politics and National Security), promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.
2. This group will visit Tokyo, Hiroshima and Kyoto to experience various aspects of Japanese Politics, National security and society including traditional Japanese culture. In addition, the students will attend various academic lectures and exchange their opinions with Japanese students at Waseda University. In Hiroshima, students will visit the Peace Memorial Park, listen to stories of hibakusha (survivors of the atomic bombing) and learn the realities of the atomic bombing. In Kyoto, students will experience and see the well-balanced mixture of modern and historic aspects of Japan.
3. Through the program, students are expected to deepen their understanding of Japan and actively deliver messages about their experiences in Japan even after they return to their own countries.

Belarus, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom
