1. From March 4th to March 11th, 29 graduate and undergraduate students from Europe are visiting Japan as a part of MIRAI・2019 (Theme: Science and Technology), short-term youth exchange program by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

2. This group will visit Tokyo and Hiroshima to experience various aspects of Japan’s science, technology and society including traditional Japanese culture. The students will attend academic lectures and exchange opinions with Japanese students at Shibaura Institute of Technology. In Hiroshima, students will visit the Peace Memorial Park and learn the realities of the atomic bombing.

3. Through this program, the students are expected to deepen their understanding of Japan and actively disseminate messages about their experiences in Japan after they return to their own countries.

4. The 5th group includes students from the following 16 countries:
Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom
