The Drone Attacks by the Houthis on Saudi Crude Oil facilities

1. On Tuesday, May 14, the Government of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that crude oil facilities on the pipeline connecting Saudi eastern province and western Yanbu have suffered terrorist attacks by drones. In response, the Houthis in Yemen issued a statement that they had carried out the attacks.
2. The peace and stability in the Middle East is important for the international peace and stability as well as for the stability and prosperity of the global economy, and the Government of Japan strongly denounces drone attacks.
3. Japan remains committed to maintaining and reinforcing the peace and stability in the Middle East in cooperation with related countries.
