Final Report on the Organization of the G20 Buenos Aires Summit was Handed Over to Japan’s Secretary General

1. The Final Report on the Organization of the Buenos Aires G20 Summit was handed over to Japan on Thursday, March 7 (local time) in Buenos Aires.H.E. Mr. Jorge Marcelo Faurie, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cult, and H.E. Mr. Hernán Lombardi, Secretary of State of the Federal System of Media and Public Content, from Argentine Republic, and Mr. Takeshi Akahori, Secretary General of the Secretariat for the G20 Summit (Ambassador, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan), and H.E. Mr. Noriteru Fukushima, Ambassador of Japan to Argentine Republic, participated in the ceremony.

Minister Faurie said that while he was convinced of the success of the G20 Osaka Summit to be organized by Japan, experienced in international conferences, he hoped that the report would be useful to Japan.Secretary General Akahori extended his congratulations to the great success of the Buenos Aires G20 Summit and thanked Argentina for the very useful final report. He expressed the intention of Japan to smoothly and efficiently organize the G20 Osaka Summit on June 28 and 29, building upon the achievements and lessons learned in the Buenos Aires Summit. Both sides shared the view that they will continue to cooperate closely as G20 Troika.

G20 Troika is consisted of the current, immediate past and next presidencies. The members of the G20 Troika in 2019 are Japan, Argentina and Saudi Arabia.
