1. March 6, Foreign Minister Taro Kono invited ambassadors of ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste to watch a football match together at Nippatsu Mitsuzawa Football Stadium. The match was a group stage 1st sec. of the J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP (Yokohama F・Marinos vs. Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo).
2. Many Southeast Asian players play in the J.LEAGUE. Thai players star in both teams and THEERATHON Bunmathan (Thai) of Yokohama F・Marinos played in this game. Minister Kono and Ambassadors enjoyed the game in a relaxed atmosphere and deepened their friendship.
